CNA TRAINING ACADEMY OF HAWAII

by Kāhala Nui

a licensed State of Hawaii Certified Nursing Assistant training program

Why become a CNA?

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is one of the most important and rewarding positions on a health care team. CNAs provide very personal, hands-on healthcare to patients or residents in medical settings helping with bathing, dressing, feeding, taking vital signs, and assisting with the basic activities of daily living. While CNAs can be found in hospitals, the majority of CNAs work in nursing and residential care facilities, where they have the opportunity to interact with residents on a regular basis and get to know them personally. While it can be a physically demanding job at times, it comes with a great deal of job satisfaction in knowing that you truly made a difference in someone’s life.

Learn and grow with us at Kāhala Nui

There is currently a critical shortage of qualified CNAs in the state of Hawaiʻi . With a rapidly growing senior population due to aging baby boomers, the need to train CNAs to fill this demand for healthcare personnel has become a top priority. As part of our mission to meet the unmet lifecare needs of our senior population, Kāhala Nui has created and funded the CNA Training Academy to provide future caregivers an opportunity to obtain a quality education at a very affordable (and potentially FREE) rate.
